Synopsis
上世纪三十年代初，富可敌省，通达海外的“盐都”黑井镇上，五大盐业家族的魁首当数杨家。当家人杨若风体弱多病，性情温和且酷爱艺术，一心只想与受过西洋文明洗礼的妻子柳寒烟在生下爱子之后前往法国，追寻心中的梦想。杨家实际的当家人乃是若风的二娘岳明霞及其子，性格强悍、一直觊觎当家之位的若风同父异母弟杨若虎。杨家族长五叔公强令明霞归政于若风。若虎受到杨家弃子杨啸尘的蛊惑，下手杀害了若风。
