Synopsis
1350年前，唐朝僧人玄奘从印度取经东归时，曾经历经重重困难，翻越帕米尔高原，在他的记述里，这里有一个建在石头上的神秘王城，一个与汉族公主有关的建国传说，还有被风雪埋葬的1000头骆驼的恐怖故事。当年玄奘究竟是怎样穿越帕米尔的？1000多年后的人们能否找到当年的历史线索？玄奘记述的地理状况是否是真实可信的？经过了一千多年的变迁，那里又变成了什么模样呢？考察队进入帕米尔高原，历经艰险，寻找千年前的东归古道。
