Synopsis
正当年的陈耀宗处长（陈佩斯暂无内容饰）刚刚结束出国考察，太太大桂（丁嘉丽暂无内容饰）和部下鞍前马后接风洗尘，在豪华的酒店为他摆了盛大的一桌酒席。原来陈处长即将荣任企业局局长，所有人都不愿放过这个大献殷勤的好机会。谁知好景不长，鉴于中央“精兵简政”的政策，党组决定撤销企业局，所以“陈局长”的名头也打了水漂。陈耀宗沦为编外人员，原来的办公室易手一家装饰公司，而该公司的老板正是曾经陈的下级、并且与之有过一段风流传闻的玛瑞（田岷暂无内容饰）。耀宗对妻子隐瞒实情，每天四处寻找工作。关键时刻，还是玛瑞对其伸出援手。
