Synopsis
二战期间在法国南部，作风强硬的美国陆军中尉三洛金斯（弗兰克·辛纳特拉饰演）和骄傲自大的无线电操作员布里特阿·哈里斯（托尼·柯蒂斯饰演）同时看上了法国姑娘莫尼克·布莱尔（娜塔利·伍德饰演），当得知布莱尔的父亲是黑人，她是一个混血儿时，由于种族观念两人陷入了矛盾之中。 中尉三洛金斯克服了潜在的偏见，但哈里斯没有。在战斗中三洛金斯失去了一只胳膊，战争结束后，他来到了布莱尔身边
