Synopsis
故事发生在抗如战争结束之后，从事话剧工作的老赵（耿震饰）、小于（白杨饰）夫妇两人回到了上海，满心欢喜的打算品尝一下他们辛苦付出抗战胜利的果实，哪知道抵达上海之后他们才发现，租房子并没有他们想象中的这么简单，如果不是朋友善心接待，两人在上海的第一夜，就得在街头度过了。第二天，夫妻两人正式开始了他们的漫漫租房路，可是房东们索要都是美元金条，这是老赵和小于无论如何都负担不起的。一次偶然中，老赵和小于结识了名叫小桃（吕恩饰）的女子，小桃原本是老裴（郑敏饰）的妻子，然而老裴因为汉奸罪被捕入狱，小桃和老裴名下的房产，统统都被老洪（阳华饰）给“接收”了。
