Synopsis
未来，由于人类遭受了重大的浩劫，为数不多的人们从地上转而进入地下生活。这座庞大的地下城市最初的设计仅能维持200年的运作，城市里面只有灯光作为唯一的照明工具。不过，随着时间的推移，200年很快就将到来，城市核心的设计寿命也即将到来。城市里停电的次数越来越多，眼见赖以生存的光芒即将消失在这微光城市里。作为好朋友的莉娜（西尔莎·罗南SaoirseRonan饰）和杜恩（哈里·崔德威HarryTreadaway饰）两人经常在微光城市里错中复杂的管道中嬉戏。一天，莉娜发现了一份古老的文件，上面记载着如何走出微光城市。眼见微光城市的灯光即将熄灭，在这城市之外到底有什么秘密？是否是一片光明？莉娜和杜恩决定沿着这份古老文件的指引，走出城市，快去看看外面的世界，以此来拯救即将熄灭的城市。
