Synopsis
故事发生在１９０３年圣路易。富裕的史密斯家中有四位漂亮的女儿，包括埃丝特和小托迪亚。１７岁的长女埃丝特爱上了刚搬来的邻家男孩约翰。然而，约翰最初仅仅是注意到埃丝特。当史密斯先生告诉家人他已经被升职到纽约一个好职位时，整个家庭都震惊了。这意味着这个家将不得不离开圣路易和圣路易集市。
