Synopsis
城市出身的马兰（秦怡暂无内容饰）不甘心做个平庸的家庭妇女，决心参加如火如荼的社会主义建设。但她的想法遭到妈妈（凌元暂无内容饰）和丈夫王福兴（高博暂无内容饰）强烈反对。她力排众议，毅然踏上支边征程。来到工地后，她发现别人都用异样的眼光看她，她全然不放在心上。老师傅胡阿根（穆宏暂无内容饰）有传统封建思想，压根瞧不起妇女，对跟他学开铲运机的马兰更是不屑一顾。师傅不教，马兰就偷艺，一次因马兰弄断钢丝绳，胡对她大发脾气，马兰曾一度产生退却思想。这时，教导员（浦克暂无内容饰）主动站出来鼓励支持她，给了她勇气，而胡阿根也认识到自己的粗暴不对，主动将铲运机驾驶技术传授给马兰......
