Synopsis
我国东北某村的赵老头在女儿婚姻自主的问题上十分落后保守。坚持包办婚姻，而女儿赵小兰早已有自己的心上人。在村领导的帮助和教育下，赵老头经过一系列事实的教育和村主席、妇女主任的劝说，思想终于有了转变，认识到封建包办买卖婚姻的害处和自由式由婚姻的好处。赵小兰和青年周永刚登记结婚，一家人沉浸在幸福的欢笑声中。
