Synopsis
话说古时有一绝世美女，名唤王月英（张柏芝 饰），她自幼为父亲王承彦（赵本山 饰）抚养长大，集万千宠爱于一身。但是月英痛恨男人的纳妾行为，有纳妾者见一个打一个，名震全城，也令饱受其压制的百姓怨声载道。王承彦早年丧妻，十五年过去，如今也有了再次婚配的念头。月英被逼无奈，提出要求，只要三日之内能找出一个男人说服她便不再干涉男人们的婚姻自由。王父辗转找到聪明绝顶的东方明亮（小沈阳 饰），请其与女儿展开辩论。 一番唇枪舌剑，二人离下誓约，东方明亮立志在一年之内只爱月英一人，若能不变心则取月英为妻。正值兵马乱世，在大时代背景下，明亮和月英的心渐渐贴近……
