Synopsis
电影里女主人公是个山区农村气象预报员，工作有热情，也有知识，还能深入到当地有经验的老农中搞调查研究。她不盲目听从上级的气象预报，而是根据自己在当地气象站测得的气象数据，参考当地老农积累的气象经验，对当地的气象做出准确的预报，指导农事。上级预报没雨，她说会下雨，提前栽植薯苗，保证了秧苗的成活率。上级预报有大暴雨，要开闸放掉水库的蓄水，她坚持当地无雨，要保住水源。这可是人命关天的大事，上级来人现场指挥。人们意见不统一，女主人公大胆负责，坚定不移，得到了领导的支持。一阵狂风过后，雨没有下，水库的水源得到了保护。
