Synopsis
1930年代，上海。留洋回来的季家齐（何政军饰）对“校花皇后”梅秀珊（陈炜饰）一见倾心。某国保险公司总裁亚尔逊（于飞饰）不甘自己的拢断地位被挑战，支使坏人对季父（严翔饰）开设的“新鑫”公司进行打砸，季父本人幸免于难。探长李金奎（崔杰饰）与洋人沆瀣一气，用绑架的手段逼迫梅秀珊离开未婚夫陶正德（夏军饰），转嫁季家齐。新婚之夜，不甘就范的梅欲自尽，季方知原委，他中了李金奎的连环计。李金奎把季家所赠股份拱手转给亚尔逊，使其得到了操控“新鑫”的资本。季父得知儿子转让股份，十分震惊与气愤，在记者招待会上宣布要与其子断绝一切关系......
