Synopsis
本片把佛教偈语“贪嗔痴恨爱恶欲”具象化为具有代表性的七个小人物身上，分别是为人贪婪的房东常乐祖（取自知足常乐）；容易动怒的保安莫升旗（谐音莫生气）；为情痴迷的美发师左无慧（取自枯坐无慧）；心存怨恨的无业游民吴诗人（取自己所不欲勿施于人）；富有爱心的摩的司机摩的仨（取自佛教最高境界三摩地）；为求自保行凶作恶的老师时未道（取自不是不报时候未到）；性感妖娆的色情行业女子空空（取自色即是空）。所谓“七扇门”就是人性七个弱点，故事以大智若愚的主人公摩的三生活经历为线索，将其他几个人联系在一起，以展现市斤生活小人物的酸甜苦辣，描写人性善恶，他们虽然都有着各自的不幸，但是都在各自的路上努力的“活着”。
